La Garçonne

I think even the girliest of girls can agree that sometimes, it would be nice to think like a guy when it comes to putting an outfit together. Like, “I think I’ll wear grey today.” And instead of worrying about whether their outfit “pops”, they just layer all the grey things they have in their closet, AND they get to wear comfortable shoes. Bundled Up In NYC

If you follow me on Instagram, you have often seen me joke about the fact that I am not a winter person. Like not even close. Poncho Villa

As you may have figured out by now, I’m pretty simple (get it? Because “Simply” Sylvia?) when it comes to dressing. I always try to pick unique, versatile pieces that are not only stylish, but functional.  This poncho from one of my favorite DC based designers, DeNada, is a great example.  I love everything that designer Virginia Arrisueño creates (a boss lady if ever there was one – see her interview here), but this particular piece fits my personality and style to perfection.
