Bundled Up In NYC

If you follow me on Instagram, you have often seen me joke about the fact that I am not a winter person. Like not even close. So you can imagine my dismay when my son and I learned that one of the worst winter storms in decades, the so called “bomb cyclone,” was set to hit NYC the day we were to arrive there. Of course my biggest concern? Wardrobe (did you think I was going to say something mature like “safety’?) Read More »

In Residence at The Jefferson

My husband and I treated ourselves to a little staycation a couple of weeks ago at The Jefferson, a five star boutique hotel in the heart of Washington, D.C. Could this place really live up to my expectations?  Read More »

A Taste of Paris

As you can imagine, there are beaucoup de good restaurants in Paris. When I visit with my husband, we tend to go to a handful of favorites, but sometimes we discover a place or two that we haven’t tried before.  We stay in a darling apartment in the Marais, which is on the right bank and in the middle of Paris. Most of our usual spots are a short, scenic walk or cab ride away.  Here is a non-exhaustive list of those places. Read More »

SoHo-liday in New York City

It’s no secret that I love New York (it’s the closest thing to Paris, after all), especially during the holidays. This year I was lucky to get there a couple of times during the month of December for a few days each trip, which is just the right amount of time to savor it all without getting overwhelmed (or going broke).  Here’s a little recap of the stops during what to me were two perfect NYC getaways.
