I love shopping malls. The ready selection of retailers, food and beverage purveyors, and of course, the decor during the holidays, are just irresistible to me! I haven’t been to one in a while, which is why I was really happy to spend a few hours at Westfield Montgomery Mall holiday shopping for the family recently.
It’s a little overwhelming to have so many great shopping options all in one place. But first (literally), I had to stop for a coffee at Aroma Espresso Bar. The red decor is the perfect setting for those all too familiar “#butfirstcoffee” shots that we bloggers love so much……and the coffee art is on point.
After coffee, I headed over to Game Stop and Foot Locker to check out gifts for the boys in the family, and Lululemon for my husband’s workout gear. Once the boys were out of the way, I got to focus on the fun shopping, i.e. for the ladies on my list. I’m a sucker for a good bag, and I found so many great options at the Michael Kors store!
I mean, what wife, mom, sister, or girlfriend wouldn’t want one of these? And those sunnies are to die for!Besides bags, other ccessories, like hats and scarves, are some of my favorite gifts to give (and receive).
I found plenty of options at Ann Taylor. Fun fact: I used to work at the Ann Taylor in San Francisco when I was in college at U.C. Berkeley. I love their “classic with a modern twist” styles, and great quality – I might still have a few of the pieces I wore back then.I was especially fond of this limited edition collection of pink pieces and accessories to promote breast cancer awareness.Last but not least, I stopped at Nordstrom. It has always been one of my favorite department stores because they carry such a wide range of products in all price ranges. They sell the prettiest holiday decorations! I’m not much for Santas and reindeers – I prefer subtle items like these in a neutral palette.Plus, they carry some of my favorite, hard to find brands like Topshop, Etoile Isabel Marant and Charlotte Tilbury make up. So once I was done shopping for everyone else, I did a little shopping pour moi.I’m glad that I took the time to shop at the mall instead of only online this year. It’s such a different experience, and one that you can share with a girlfriend. I’ll definitely be doing it a lot more often! Wishing you all the happiest of holidays, and of course, have fun shopping those Black Friday sales!
