The floral print trend has definitely grown on me, so I’m glad it’s still a thing for fall and winter. I particularly like the maxi versions, like this one, which transition well into the colder months with the help of a good pair of knee high boots, like these.
I love the casual, boho chic vibe of this particular dress. The pretty poppy print in shades of red, burgundy and pink (so on trend this season) and the ruffles are girly touches, while the cold shoulder style adds an a touch of drama to an otherwise dainty dress.
I couldn’t resist a few bold accessories (I don’t really identify with “dainty”), and these red boots, and oversized drop earrings and round glasses did the trick. I added this little burgundy shoulder bag that I’ve had for years because I like the proportions, and I also liked playing up the color palette of the dress.
I plan on wearing this little number sent to me by my friends at Stitch Fix long into fall with the addition of a white tee or a fitted turtleneck sweater. Because a good trend has no seasons, right?
