Venice Blues

One of the best things about visiting family in California is getting to dress down – like way down. I spend most of my days there in flip flops, a bikini, and some appropriate cover up, and no one blinks an eye! I picked up this street-ready caftan and was ready to go anywhere (with the addition of a few upscale accessories if needed).

The lightweight chambray fabric is perfect for hot days, as is the unconstructed silhouette.  The ethnic touches like the tassels and embroidered sleeve details add just the right boho touch.

For this look, I wore my most casual heels. Wedges are my go to during the summer – they are so much easier to walk in than stilettos! This pair have delicate lace-up details that add a touch of sexiness that I love.

This basket bag from Ellen & James has been my go to all summer, particularly given the bohemian styles that I have been wearing lately. The oversized sunnies add a touch of glam to an otherwise casual look.

Just curious as I had been looking at your blog for months now. It seems not updated as much as instagrsm, which I see at the top of your blog. Just wondering the difference…. Is instagram easier to update? Perhaps.
    Thanks.

      Hi Jude,

I have been traveling quite a bit, so keeping up with blogging has suffered a bit. Trying to get back into it!

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

      Best,
